I need to take a mulligan this week 😵
Sorry but it's been a rough, rough week
Sorry guys! I know how much you all wait every single week for your weekly article (kidding!). In all seriousness, I wanted to chime in really quick to let you know why there is no article this week. But first, for those of you who use this weekly article as a reminder to go watch this week’s video, you can check it out right here:
It’s a really fun episode where I break down some of the most popular geographic myths about the United States (and tell you the truth behind them).
Anyway, back to the mulligan. In essence: this has been the worst week of travel I’ve had in a long, long time. And it all came to a head yesterday in Ajaccio, Corsica. Here’s the brief run of it:
I had to wake up at 6:00am to catch a 7:00am train to the other side of the island (forgot my computer mouse at my Airbnb) to catch a plane. There were no Ubers available at the train station (and no taxis either) so I had to walk an hour to the airport in Bastia (with no sidewalks and very fast moving traffic AND rain). Then, at the airport, I managed to either lose my laptop, or have it stolen from me. Not sure which at the moment and, as you can imagine, I’m pretty broken up about it. My laptop is everything to me. All my work for Geography By Geoff and GeoLex depends on it. I’m writing this on Alexa’s computer which I guess we now share (sorry Alexa!).
Oh and to top it all off? I’ve been nursing a stomach bug for longer than I care to admit. 😣
So yeah, mulligan for this week! I’m currently in Brussels waiting to board a train to Stuttgart and then Budapest and then Bucharest and then Istanbul. It should be quite the GeoLex episode. It comes out in a few weeks so stay tuned for that.
Otherwise I hope to see you all here with another fun geography article this time next week.

Sounds like you need a vacation!
Sorry to hear about your rough week
Hopefully it doesn't set you back too much and things will improve
Looking forward to further content
