AI is geographically exhausting

I need to get something off my chest this week. And I know, I know… it’s about a topic that I’m sure everyone is sicking of hearing about it. I’m definitely tired of hearing about AI. I’m tired of reading articles about AI. I’m tired of every service I use coming out with a new “helpful” AI feature that proudly proclaims it can do everything better with that service than I can. And don’t get me wrong, sometimes that’s probably true. But I also like doing things for myself. Thankfully, Wikipedia is still happily AI-free (at least on the front end) and, because of that, I’ve quadrupled my monthly contribution to them. Let’s hope it keeps it that way!

Anyways, this is all getting off topic. Because while AI is definitely the topic at hand, my personal feelings towards it (them?) aren’t really part of the geography of it all. It’s just a daily frustration of mine. That said, in as much as I’m getting exhausted by AI personally, I do feel like the world is geographically getting exhausted by it as well.
